So, I am so sorry that I have been MIA! I have been working on my UGC career and getting started with it. This is something that I have been looking into for months but had a lot of nerves about getting started. Because I have been watching many UGC creators, it can be intimidating. Because they make it look easy. Like you it looks to film something for a few seconds. But upon closer inspection, it takes work and time to make these videos and clips look as good as they do.

So many things come into play: lighting being one of the most important things. You don’t want to film in a dull lighting, because that will actually be the only thing that you see. So, natural light is really, the best lighting for any project. You don’t have to have a professional lighting system to make your best work happen. Just open the curtain and let the light come in! The simplest way is the best way.

Second, your phone is enough. If you have a tripod as additional help for filming, you are really good to go. The only thing is, you obviously want to have ample storage for your work on the phone.

Third, considering how you want to get started. Because there are a few ways to get started. You can use app like Aspire io., Joinbrands, among others. And if you are loking for freelance work, Upwork will be ideal. Or if you want, you can pitch directly to companies. Sending them an email, letting them know that you are a content creator and that you are wondering if they are willing to work them. Now, as most UGC creators would tell you, to get started with products you use. Don’t just go and pick a product from off of the shelf in a store, that you’ve never heard and have no idea how it will work. You are just asking for a weird experience. Regardless of what it is, make sure that it is a product that you use. People can sense when you are being disingenuous and lying. Be honest and everything will work.

With the help of content creators, Brands are really getting the best of both worlds. They get direct sales from consumers, and they can pay a much lower amount for that work. I mean, think about it. If you were a major company owner that you had to spend 6 figures for 30 seconds of TV airtime, as opposed to spending between $500-$1,500 or more for someone to make a video for their website! This is why brands love working with dedicated content creators. Because that is what they want. Consistency. If a brand looks at your IG and let’s say that you are posting 3 times a week. If you consistently posting according to your schedule, they are more willing to work with you.

But, you don’t have to have a huge following. Because I haven’t amassed a huge following of my own yet. But, I going to go for this, because I am working a full-time job and my gosh, am I ready to resign. So, I want this to work out for me,

I am well aware of the fact that this won’t be easy. But, it will be worth it. For those of us, that work regular jobs and work overly hard at them, then you find out about UGC, this can help you become a full-time content creator! That is what I want and what I will work on. I will keep you posted on this journey and encourage you that if this is something that you want to do, look into it. I wouldn’t just dive in without setting some things up for yourself.
