As a gardener, one of your favorite times of the year is Spring! It means, Daylight savings time is officially here, longer days, warmer weather and it’s time to plant beautiful plants. One of the pros to the end of winter is planning for Spring. Taking
inventory of your garden from the previous spring, can help set your imagination into overdrive. Well, if you are like me, your imagination goes into overdrive. Last year, I tried some different things in the yard. Some things worked out and others
didn’t. But I learned that it’s okay to share your gardening failures, just like you share your wins. It doesn’t mean that you are not a good gardener. It just means some things
work and others don’t. Just like in life, you have to pivot and redirect. So, from last year, I thought about some things that I wanted to do for the garden. I always focus on food
and growing all of the delicious things. But I don’t really focus on flowers. Not very often, at least. However, this year, I want to focus on flowers and adding more color and beauty to the yard.
The cool thing is that the stores are already getting into the swing of things. Walmart has already received their first shipment of shrubs and trees.

Absolutely beautiful! I am really excited about the Magnolia trees! I already have one, but I am considering buying another one.
Some other stores like Ace hardware, Lowes and Tractor supply also have some plants that just arrived. And some stores have seeds available as well. Which I am happy about. Because last year, it seemed like everything was late. I was waiting and waiting for plants to arrive at the stores, and they weren’t coming in time for me to plant them and get a couple of harvests from them. At least, in my opinion. But seeing these options now is exciting!
As things arrive and develop, I will keep you posted.
